  • Conyers Hometown Holiday Weekend, Dec. 4-5

    The official kick-off to Conyers’ holiday season will take place the first weekend in December with the Olde Town Christmas Party on Friday, December 4 and the 16th Annual Hometown Holiday Parade and Community Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 5 at 4:00 p.m. sponsored by the city of Conyers in conjunction with Rockdale County.   • Shop with a Conyers Cop This Christmas, Donations Welcome

    The Conyers Police Department is partnering with the Conyers Wal-Mart to help make this Christmas brighter for local children. The Conyers Police Department (CPD) along with Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) and Georgia State Patrol (GSP) are participating in the 8th Annual Shop with a Cop in which law enforcement personnel accompany children from families experiencing financial hardships to the Conyers Wal-Mart to shop for Christmas gifts. More

  • Conyers Police Receives First CALEA Re-Accreditation

    Conyers Police Chief Gene Wilson, City Manager Tony Lucas, Councilman Vince Evans, Major Mike Waters, Captain Derek Parker, and Lieutenant Tanya Perry appeared before the CALEA Accreditation Review Committee for a hearing on Saturday, November 21, 2015, in Miami, Florida. During the hearing, it was recommended that the Conyers Police Department be awarded CALEA re-accreditation. Later that evening, members were required to appear before the full Commission in order to receive the actual CALEA award letter. More
